How do you add/edit issue types to include an additional option in the drop down menu of a ticket?

I am not able to add an issue type to the drop down menu our users can choose from when providing details regarding their ticket. Where can I edit these options? I do not see any ability to edit under project settings.

Hi Katy,

if you're using a Classic project you can add new issue types in main Jira settings.

On main Jira navigation menu go to Jira settings -> Issues -> Issue types

Fro there you can create a new one and edit existing ones.
