How do you make a individual ticket a sub-issue of another ticket?

I have created a ticket that should be a sub issue and don't want to replicate, how do I take the made ticket and add it as a sub-issue?

simply use the available operation in the issue:

One minor quirk - if you have no sub-task types in your issue type scheme, this option ( and create sub-task) will vanish because you can't use issue types that are not set up for the project.

If you have sub-tasks enabled you can move it to a subtask. There is no parent-child relationship for normal tasks.  There is a paid for plugin that allows that I believe
