How import Microsoft Project file

I have been asked to test importing a Microsoft Project file into a Jira Software Project.

I'm looking for helpful information and tips.

You can export your MPP to CSV and import on with External System Import feature System.

I would recommend, using the old experience, as it allows to some tricks like updating existing issues.

One way would be to export your MS Project file to csv format and import it that way. You can find all the information for it in this KB. Your other option would be to use an app from the Marketplace that would allow you to integrate MS Project with Jira and import that way.
