How long does it take to read data from Subversion?

Tom Isaacson November 20, 2011

When I add a Subversion repository to Jira, how long does it take for the whole history to be added to Jira? Is this instantaneous or does it take a while? If the latter, can I check on the progress somewhere?

Thanks.

The time it takes proportial to the number of commits, as it gets the log for the entire repo to index it.

The only way I've seen of gauging how long it's going to take is by upping the debug level for that package and looking in the logs.

It takes awhile, but I do not remember if a progress bar shows on the initial indexing. There is a percentage counter for re-indexing though
