How many issues can be created on a Standard Plan on Jira Cloud?

Is there a lilmit on a standard plan on Jira Cloud on how many issues can be created? It says it has 250gb of storage. 

Does this means storage = #of issues? or attachments?

The 250Gb is for everything - the installation, logs, database storage, attachments and so-on.

You won't get close if you have a massive amount of issues and no attachments, but if you attach lots of big files to a small number of issues, you will, of course, get there quite quickly.  (Moral - yes, it's fine to attach files to Jira issues, but it's a good idea to only allow smallish ones - large files should really be put on services designed to handle large files well, and then linked to in Jira if you need a reference to them)

If you exceed it, nothing stops working, but you will (eventually) be pushed on to the next tier up which has unlimted storage.

Hi Nic, by massive amount we are talking about 100K?not even close to 250gb? I'm not planning to attach any big attachments.
Is there a way I can monitor how much storage I have occupied?

You'll find that each empty application consumes a few Gb for the install, but that's not going to increase - it's a broadly similar size, unaffected by configuration, and the bits that can grow (stuff like log files and temporary directories) are housekept, so they don't consume too much of your space.

BUT, I think Atlassian were going to change the calculator a bit from the simple "show all disk space" to "database and attachment storage only".  

You have to be a site admin to get that report though.  Go to admin.atlassian.com as a site admin and click on the "products" tab.  This will give you a list of all your sites and products in the left hand bar.  Click on the site you are interested in sizing, and you'll get a huge pile of options around maintaining it.  Somewhere (still in the left bar) there is a "storage" link.  (I'm not 100% sure it's called storage, might be disk-space or something else, but it's pretty clear in the English UI)

That will tell you how much you are consuming per application.  Note that Atlassian don't really look at it by application, it's your overall consumption.  If your Jira Software is showing 300Gb of 250Gb, but Jira Service-Manangement is showing 20Gb of 250Gb, then Atlassian see you as using 320Gb of a 500Gb allowance and won't start bothering you about it.

No it is not number of issues. Limit is on storage. Try to avoid storing large object use some other solution and add link in Jira. but 250 GB is not small.
