Trying to set up a board that is driven by label so if the it does not have label its in the open column if has the label it is in the completed column.
Then create a burn down chart. is this possible?
Hi and welcome to the community!
What you're trying to do is not possible. Statuses are mapped to columns and therefore the status defines which column an issue is in.
Don't know why you would want this approach, but you could use swimlanes with JQL to put the issues in different lanes depending on the label?

Thanks for the info on swim lanes i will look at this see if this will work.
I do have a epic link to say PARTS this is a list of parts we are updating the document tickets once updated we put a label Doc_updated" we want to show a burn down chart or something to show this what we have to finish.
Any suggestion will help.

In order to have a burndown, you need a concept of something "completed". The updating of a document could be a process on its own, with an end state. On that, you could then have a burndown.

Okay I looked at Swimlanes set up a Kanban board with JQL filter. I been experimenting with the swimlanes and labels the board however show columns that are base by status not labels. I did however make two swimlanes on "doc updated" and "not updated" and left the everything else. This sort of helps but need to figure out if this will help me or if there is something more I'm missing.
it would be nice to have it so the to do is document not updated and the done column that has document completed.

Hi,
Let the idea of steering columns with labels go ... it is not what it is made for. If completing a document is ToDo -> In Progress -> Done then you should have the document update be a separate flow, maybe a subtask of your original issue?
