How to Administer Jira Filter Subscriptions

Hello,

I am a Jira Admin for our Jira DC Instance, we host a lot of projects for people and noticed that someone in one of the projects has created a 'Jira Subscription' that automatically sent an email to a user group containing a lot of users..

As you can expect, everyone was confused including myself.

I found this article explaining what they are JQL: Using filters and subscriptions (atlassian.com)

I was wondering if there was a way for an Admin like myself to basically stop this from happening at all?

Hey @Daniel_Block100

Unfortunately, as far as I'm concerned, the ability to restrict users from subscribing to filters was suggested a couple of times, but never seriously considered for implementation by the Atlassian team, mainly because barely any people complained about the lack of this permission option. Due to the latter, you won't be able to "stop this from happening" in advance.

Nonetheless, you may manage all filters and subscriptions under the Issues -> Manage Filters tab. Not only can you delete subscriptions there, you can also edit them to change the mailing frequency.

Hope this helps,
Zuri

Hello @Daniel_Block100 I am an organization admin in Jira. However I wasn't able to edit a user's Jira Filter and make changes. Now sure if we can modify the filter and subscription.
