Hi  @Dennis de Laat

You can view the logged hours on the issue itself via the Work Log tab. But Jira’s native features are a bit limited when it comes to creating full log reports, especially if you want to show a breakdown of hours across multiple tasks for a client.
Some teams work around this by exporting worklogs using filters and adding them to Excel.

Alternatively, if you're open to using Marketplace apps, you might want to check out Report Hub developed by our team.
With Report Hub's Timesheet and Time Spent reports, you can quickly generate a report that shows:

  • Time spent per issue by date
  • Time logged by each team member
  • Easy export to PDF or CSV

It's a simple way to turn logged work into a clear and client-friendly report-might be worth a look depending on your use case.
Hope this helps!

HI @Dennis de Laat

As suggested by Karan a mktplace app can help here. If you are willing to consider one, take a look at our add-on.

Worklogs Time Tracking in Jira & Timesheets

With this add-on, you can easily view all time entries for multiple issues day wise / month wise, user wise, grouped by in a single view. Also filter worklogs created between a date range as shown below. Main features of the app -

  • Create time reports in real time by grouping & categorizing data with aggregation
  • Prepare your reports based on Project/Sprint/Issue Type/Assignees and various other filters
  • Group your data to build more meaningful reports
  • CSV Export
  • Dashboard gadget
  • Enter Time Spent for multiple issues from Timesheet screen

(Disclaimer: I am part of the app development team)

Hi @Dennis de Laat

What do you mean by create a log-report from that ticket? Could you please elaborate what data you would like to see in such report?

I represent SolDevelo and we offer time tracking apps. If you would like to see a report on which user has spent how much time on the specific ticket, you can achieve that with Worklogs - Time Tracking and Time Reports, lite Time Tracker

On the screen below, you can see a report showing all jira issues and time spent by user. Is this something you are looking for? If you wish, you can use filter by JQL to display only specific jira issue.

Of course, Worklogs as an app gives you even more reporting possibilities. You can create reports based on every Jira issue field (including custom fields) and time log, export reports, display on dashboards and customize with many options. If you are interested, we can meet on a demo call for a complete walkthrough.

I am curious on you use case, so I would be grateful if you could confirm if this is helpful to you or if you are looking for something different.

Best regards,
Ewa

Hey @Dennis de Laat

Unfortunately, we don't have extensive reports related to work logs. You can include the "Time Spent" field as a column in the issue search to view the time logged against each issue.

Alternatively, you may explore the Marketplace for time tracking apps that offer extensive reports and timesheet like features. (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=time+tracking&hosting=cloud)

Thanks!
