How to add a custom Free Text (unlimited) field?

The Free Text (Unlimited) field isn't an option for me when creating a custom field. I am looking for a free text field with markup, much like the text field I am typing in now. What am I missing?

Check your System Add-ons for "Custom Field Types and Searches".

This can be found in the "Administration >> Add-Ons" then update the filter to "System". Scroll down to the "Custom Field Types and Searches" and expand the modules. Check if "Text Field (multi-line)" is Enabled.
