How to add {html} tag around description to display HTML content.

Hi.

I'm creating issue from HTML email and in order to have description readable I need to have {html} tag in the beginning and at the end of description field.

How to do this automatically when issue is created?

Thanks for suggestion, but I solved it with plugin JIRA Workflow Toolbox post functions. Needed {html} tag is added to hidden dummy field with "Copy parsed text to a selected custom field". Then I use "Copy or add a custom field's value to issue description" twice to add content of my dummy field in the beginning and at the end of description. It works fine.

Any drawbacks doing it like this?

You will have to create a new mail handler which will wrap the description around {html} tags.

Another option is to do it in a Listner or Create Post Function where you will have to identify the issues created via mail and modify the description!
