How to add outgoing transitions from CLOSED or REJECTED state in JIRA?

Hi,

After combing the various answers to this new problem of mine, I am still not clear as to how to add transition step from CLOSED (resolution set to 'DONE') or REJECTED (resolution set to 'DONE') status of a bug in JIRA.

1. I created a copy of the active workflow and still could not add any of the above required transitions. 

2. I created a new step called Reopened (resolution is set to  'To Do') and tried adding the above transitions: 

• CLOSED - NEW
• REJECTED - NEW

Still, no luck!

Help me figure this out asap.

Hi @Radhika Tk Could you please tell us the exact issue that you are facing?

Were you able to change the status from Rejected to New or Closed to New after you published the new workflow?

If you are facing issue with the resolution being set as DONE, you may probably update the Reopen transition postfunction to clear the Resolution field value or to update it as none.

there are no limitations from which status to which status you can add transisitions.

How do you try to add that transition and what is the exact problem?

I tried to add the new transitions in the copy of an existing workflow and forgot to add this new workflow to the workflow scheme assigned to the project in which I am working.
