How to add "Description" to Technical task?

I would like to add "Description" to Technical task, but could not find information how to make it.

Could someone help with this, please?

I'm afraid you haven't given us enough information to work with.

What is a "technical task" in your system? What do you mean by "description"?

I'm guessing:

• Jira
• The standard Description field
• Technical task = an issue type

Which implies your administrators have deliberately removed the field from that type of issue, using either

• screens
• field configurations
• field context

So you should check them...

Sorry for not being precise. Yes, you assumed everything correctly, i.e. we are using JIRA, "Technical task" is subtask and "Description" is the standard Description field.

I found that it should be added into Field configuration.

Do you mean the description that gets shown when you hoover the technical task icon?

if you do then just go to Administration>Issues>Issue Types

select "Technical Task" and edit.

you will find the Description Field there

but i think Nics reply is more what you want
