Hi dear community.

If the story has sub-tasks, want to include only one sub-task from the story, is it possible to add the sprint only to that exact sub-task?

Hi @Martin Yeghiazaryan, welcome to the community!

The sub-task is part of the story, and the sprints are "Inherited from parent." If you feel they need to be in different sprints, that's a sign they should be different Stories.

I hope that helps

Cheers,

Melo

Indeed, it is best to think of sub-tasks as being fragments of a story (like jigsaw pieces are pieces of a single jigsaw).

As part of a story, it's nonsense to have them in different sprints to the one the story is in.

The whole of Jira is set up to see them that way, and trying to do it differently simply won't work for you.
