Hi @Shiva Di

If you refer to the archive option you have on an issue, to archive it in the project.

This can't be done on linked issues.

This in my opinion would be not desired, as this could result in issues being archived that are not meant to be archived based that they where linked.

Hi Shiva,

Hope this answers your Question and refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/archiving-an-issue-968669980.html

  1. Create an "Archived" Status: Create a new status in your workflow called "Archived" or something similar. This status indicates that an issue has been archived.
  2. Transition Linked Issues: For each issue you want to archive, transition it to the "Archived" status. This can be done manually or through automation.
  3. Add Comment or Label: Optionally, you can add a comment or label to the issue indicating that it has been archived. This makes it easier to identify archived issues later.
  4. Adjust Filters and Boards: Configure your Jira filters and boards to exclude issues in the "Archived" status. This way, archived issues won't clutter your active views.
  5. Regular Cleanup: Periodically review and delete old, archived issues based on your organization's retention policies.

Good luck
