Hello everybody,
how can I assign Admin permissions to a normal user when I am a loggedIn User that is also a normal User. Is this possible in a JIRA Plugin?
My background is to change the owner of a filter. To do that I have to be ADMINISTER to assign the owner of a filter to another user.
Please help me.
If you don't have jira-administrator permissions you can do that using your database.
Use the following query to put the user "test" on group jira-administrators using postgresql
update cwd_membership set lower_parent_name='jira-administrators',parent_name='jira-administrators' where child_name='test'
After that restart your JIRA instance and the user will be member of that group.
Hope this helps and let me know if there's something else I can help you.
Best regards.
