How to assign one issue to more than one member

shahid iqbal August 10, 2014

Hi,

Is it possible to assign one issue to more than one members/developers working on same project ?

We are developing same feature in three different platforms parallelly, so we don't want to create three times three different cases. Is there any solution for this kind of problem/scenario ?

No.

Jira has a very strong attitude that an issue assignee should be one single user at any time - the person who is currently responsible for it. ( In real life, multiple assignees are an unmitigated disaster - I've yet to see it work anywhere.)

Your best option is to add custom fields to represent other users - multiple user pickers, or something to store a named group, or a set of user pickers (one for dev, QA, dev lead, end user, etc)

Nic, is the answer still " no " for this question? Can we assign one issue more than one assignee?

Please let me know. Thanks!

It is still "no", because it remains a pretty bad idea.  Atlassian have clearly stated they'll never do it too.
