Ho, I have assigned a Jira epic which is type Custom while it should be changed to Survey. We need to see all epic issues such as coding, sample select and fieldwork and currently these are not included as it is type Custom.
Could you please help changing the type of this project?
Or confirm the only way to work around is to recreate a new Jira epic with correct type?
This is a link to the project I'm referring to:

Thanks

@[deleted] hi and welcome to the community!
I'm a bit confused here.
Are you refererring to an issue type, named Custom, or to a project template named Custom?
If you talk about a project, then you can't change project types. You just have to create a new project (or create a scrum/kanban board for that matter).
From what I know, you can only have one Epic issue type on your instance, and not multiple. So maybe you are referring to a standard issue type? A screenshot or two could help us point you to the right direction!
Thank you very much for your very quick reply to my query.
I am referring to Project Type in an Epic created under CAS Projects (CAS).
As you say, we should recreate the project from Custom type to Survey type, I also don't see any other option in Jira.
I have instructed the consultant on how to proceed.
Thank you and regards,
Malgorzata

The project has been created as Cutom for Project Type. I changed the project status to 'Assigned' and then erealized there are no all epic issues I need, only 3.
I changed then the Project Type to Survey but it didn;t help - still only 3 issues visible.
See screenshot attached
The issues are only those:
While I need a list specific for survey, such as this one (example):

@[deleted] Look like you have Custom field of name "Project Type" and has some issue linking automation base on that field. can you confirm there is any development some one has done for this?

What you are looking is an Epic issue type. The "Project type" you are referring to is a custom field, with custom values. Now, this list you are showing me on the 2nd screen could be the result of automation done either within its workflow of via Jira Automation. As it seems, this automation is triggered on the create issue transition (when the issue is being created) rather than when the value of that field is changed.
I would suggest to:
