How to change the custom field value based on assignee change

i am using Script runner and have a scenario to change/reset custom field value to default when a assignee is changed . Can you please share if there is a solution on this ?

You would have to get the filed history changes to the assignee field and update the custom field values based on the history changes to the assignee field.

I am sure there is a function that will get you the field history, then you can use the on change function and write a script to update the custom field value.

I have tried using Listeners , but have not got any results .

Since this is a custom field i have issues .
