How to change the width of single select option in jira

We are trying to increase the width of this single select dropdown so that we will be able to see all the option in dropdown. Please refer to the below Screenshot.

As far as I know, there is no way to do this on the interface. You need to modify the source code for single select field. But it affects all the single select fields on your Jira. Also every time you upgrade your Jira, you need to make the same change again. So it is not a recommended approach.
