I am trying to clone Kanban board with the same settings and issues of original board. I found that I could copy the board and achieve the same settings as the original board. I also used Filter Query of original board for new boards. However, the issues were all the same exact issues from original. For example, if I changed a task in the original board, it would make the same change in the new board. We were just going to use Quick Filters and have one board, but I like the idea of having multiple boards for each project. Is there something I am missing?

Hi Jackie,

Welcome to the Community!

Currently you have only cloned the board but not the issues on it. Cloning issues would be a second step to have two independent  boards.

The standard cloning function of Jira is only able to clone single issues. If you want to bulk clone all issues from your board at once you can try our Marketplace app Deep Clone for Jira.

Once you've cloned the issues you must make adapt the filter of the copied board, to make sure that you display the cloned issues on the new board.

If you have questions or feedback about Deep Clone for Jira, don't hesitate to get in touch with our support.
