How to clone entire project with its issues and sub-task?

Hi, I want to copy/clone entire project with its issue and sub-tasks?

Should I use plugin or is it possible to do it without plugin? 

Pls help!

Hi @ebaatar ,

If you are looking only to copy/clone parent and sub-task issues then it is possible in JIRA natively. In case if you are looking to clone everything from the issues like attachments, linked issues etc then you have to use an add-on. 

By using Clone plus for JIRA  add-on you can achieve this functionality. This add-on is only available for server and Data Center version. Please go through the Clone plus for JIRA add-on documentation page for further information. 

OR

By using JIRA Command Line Interface add-on you can achieve this. This add-on is supported for Cloud, Server and DataCenter version. Please go through the JIRA Command Line Interface documentation page. Here is some examples page.

On Jira cloud you can also use our app Deep Clone for Jira to bulk clone thousands of tasks and sub-tasks at once.

Update November, 2020: It is now possible to clone entire Jira projects, along with all issues and sub-tasks.
