How to configure some fields of the task to not be editable (view only) for a specific user role in the project?
Hello,
There is no field level permissions in Jira. You can not do it. The only thing is to put all fields, which must be editable by a specific role, to a transition, not to the Edit screen, and then add conditions to the transition.

By using the workflow properties you can restrict as a non-editable for the project roles. Please go through the Workflow properties page.

Kishore, thank you for your reply. But I can't find a way in Workflow properties page (I just started working with Jira.)
