Hello there,

I have been tasked with creating a least privileged account which is intended to be used on  a single project to display the Kanban board for in a public work area.

Hence, the prospective Jira user account should be able to sign in, have Read-Only access to the project, its assets (especially Kanban board) and not be able to view other project, assets or make any changes what so ever.

We are using Jira Cloud and are following the instructions from this article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/jira-cloud-how-to-create-a-read-only-user-779160729.html.

I am unable to browse to the area: https://OurJiraInstance.com/admin/accessconfig, referenced in the article. As such, the account we created is unable to sign in, unless we add the read-only user to the Jira-User Group.

Any advice or directions are greatly welcomed.

Thanks in advance,

Kenio

Hi Kenio,

To find the https://<instance name>/admin/accessconfig you can go to User management > Product access > View configuration. Then add the group and select the "Can sign in".

Please, give a try and let us know how it goes.

Angélica

Hi Angélica,

Thanks for looking into this.

At the User Management page, under User Management section I only see Users and Groups in the left pane.

I tried to drill down to the group level but the options remained the same when I did.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Kenio

Hi Kenio,

On User management, click on Product access and then View configuration:

Then click on add group and select "Can sign in".

All site-admins have access to this configuration.
