Our QA team requires that each user story acceptance criteria has a unique ID, so they can easily map their test cases (from a separate system) to acceptance criteria. (Of course there may be multiple acceptance criteria for each user story issue).
The Product Owner group would like to keep the creation of user stories (including acceptance criteria) simple. So far we have been using the JIRA story description of story and acceptance criteria, but the problem is this does not provide a unique ID to each acceptance criteria. A simple JIRA filter can then display all relevant information in a single Confluence page.
Using Test Cases would solve the problem for QA, but Test Cases cannot be displayed in a JIRA filter. Is there anyway I can get Test Cases (acceptance criteria) to display in a JIRA field that can be displayed from a JIRA filter in Confluence?
Hey James
are you using a QA add on in Jira? If so which one? I ask because you mention test cases cannot be displayed in a jql filter.
Hi Evan, I am trying to use Adaptavist Test Management for JIRA.
