Hi

The project is done

I don't want anyone to create issues in the project anymore but I still want the users to be able to view the issues

How do I configure that?

If you only want users to be able to view only, this can be done through the permission scheme associated with the project. The only rights that a user needs would be:

Browse Projects

The users would need all the other rights removed. This would prevent those users from changing any of those issues, even to comment.

Depending on how the permission scheme is configured, it could reference Project Roles, JIRA Groups, or some other field. You will need to see how the permissions are configured now and then alter them appropriately.

If the permission scheme is shared between projects, you may need to copy and create a new permission scheme for only this read only project so you do not remove access to multiple projects accidentally.

If you think you'll be doing this with more projects, you can could create a project role of "Viewer" and then assign this project role to the permissions scheme and add users/groups to that project role.
