I have test case with multiple versions. when I try to archive test case version it archives complete test case
Based on the UI displayed in the image, it's likely you are using an alternative test management tool like Zephyr / TestRail / QMetry.
Generally, most Jira test management tools do not support archiving individual test case versions.
Instead, these tools typically version test cases as a whole, and archiving usually applies to the entire test case, rather than a specific version.

@Humashankar VJ , the tool looks like Zephyr Scale or maybe one of those versions. I agree with your original response and can confirm that you cannot archive versions of a test case - you can only archive the entire test case. I expect the reasons for this would be that a version could have executions and therefore archiving a version would cause problems with the history of test cycles, etc.
@Guneet Arora I think you should mark Humashankar's first response as the answer - it is correct.
For future support of Zephyr Scale, you can also go to their user community where I am very active: Zephyr Scale Community.

Are you using Xray for Jira to manage your test cases?
If so, can you confirm whether you want to archive a specific version of a test case or the entire test case? In Xray, test cases don’t have version archiving.
In Xray, archiving individual test case versions is not a supported feature. Instead, test cases are versioned based on their association with specific Test Plans and Test Executions. To effectively manage test case versions, you can close the test case to create a new version, and then removing the older version from active Test Plans to prevent its use in future test executions.
Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
