How to display an error to a user from a custom JQL function?

Hi,

We have implemented a custom JQL function as described in [1]. Initially, it worked fully as per our expectations, including error handling. But since some recent time, errors we return from the function are no longer displayed to the users. We follow the response structure as described in [2].

Was there any change to the contract of custom JQL functions, or is just a bug on Jira side?

Hi @Bogdan Ilchyshyn 

I've checked the Atlassian Status page and couldn't find any issues apart from an invoke on issue view failure. It could indeed be a bug or a regression, I'd suggest submit a support request or ask this question on Atlassian Developer Community.
