How to do I add Jira MIgration Tool to Jira Server?

Hi all! 

I have a question, we need to migrate one project from our Server Jira to our Jira Cloud and hence need the Jira Migration Assistant in marketplace. Its a free tool and I have downloaded the JAR file. But despite being an admin in Jira Server I get no "install" option. Any Ideas how to proceed?

Hi @Murat Sahan do you know what version of Jira Server you are using?  Atlassian includes a Jira Migration Assistant if you're using version 8.14 or later.  You can manually install it if the version is 7.6 or later.

That article also includes directions.  If your Jira is older, you should be able to upgrade the server version to a release where it's included and then go from there.

Jirqa import tool might make our migration pretty challenging. If ou need to migrate issues properly, I'd recommend to take a look at this one https://marketplace.atlassian.com/vendors/1215318/help-desk-migration It is possible to migrate from server to cloud Jira as well

You said that you download the jar file. Could you install JCMA directly from Marketplace interface?

Which jira server/DC you have?

To JCMA works, the server must be has a internet connection with cloud environment.

Hi!
No unfortunately there is no option for installment. Just "request" the tool and that request send ME an email :)
