Hi,
I would like to edit Cascading default custom field value none. Please suggest me the steps to do. For example Component/s value is None. I want to edit that None.
Thanks,
Chiran.
Hi Chiran,
First, the Component/s field is not a Cascading type field.
Second, to be able to Edit any field, the field must be available on the Edit version of the screen. There are potentially 3 different screens associated with an Issue - Create Screen, Edit Screen and View Screen. What you are looking at right now is the view screen. To edit certain fields you need to click the Edit button at the top left. However, if the field is not on the Edit screen you will not be able edit the field either inline (like you can the Labels field in your screenshot) or on the Edit screen.
Third, to change the Default for any field, you must go to Settings > Issues > Custom Fields to access a list of fields. Then click on the 3 dots to the right side and choose Configure. On the ensuing screen you can see where to change the Default.
I hope that helps!

Hi Funk,
Thanks for reply. Here is my screen shot where I need to change the value of second box None. I want to change the default value None to some other.
Thanks,
Chiranjeevi.

Hi Chiranjeevi - you are not going to be able to set the default for the second field without setting a value for the first field. The second field is always dependent on the first field, so there is not way to set it independently.
