Hello,
I want to create 2 different filters for 2 Jira projects. However, the setting has already been "Default" and I can no longer enable the "Filter" tab. Is there a way I can enable this so I can create 2 different filters? Please see attached image.
Thanks,
Norman
Excuse me if I resume this question after a while, but I have the same starting point (the "Filter" buttn disabled) but I sipmply need to create a filter with some selected columns, in order to recall the same columns when I use the filter.
When I create a new filter the button is disabled and it only appears when I edit the filter already created.
How can I have it already enabled at filter creation ?
Hi @Norman , thanks for your question.
I have understood you are asking to restore the default view of the filter search results.
To do this from your own image, you just need to click on the option to 'Restore Defaults'
If I have misunderstood or you have follow up questions, please just reply here and either I or someone else will try to help you.
Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for responding. I tried to do your suggestion. However, the restored columns are no longer relevant and I've been trying to create 2 different columns for my 2 different projects. Do you have any idea how to do this?
Thanks,
Norman

Hi @Norman , thanks for your message.
When you say you are trying to create new columns, do you mean new fields in the projects? as, in a custom field for some new issue attribute?
If this is the case, it would depend on whether you are using team-managed or a company-managed project, but it is pretty straightforward either way.
Please can you confirm if this is what you want to do?

Hi @Norman , ok, thanks for your message.
To create a custom field, you need to go into the System settings and then the Issue Menu, like this -
Then, from the Issues view, find the Fields heading and then Custom Fields. You can then click on the blue button to create a new Custom Field
Then, you will need to choose the type of field, and during the process of creation, the last step is to choose in which screens you want the field to appear. Once you have mapped the new custom field to the screens, you should be able to populate it in the project and then run the JQL / write filter queries.
I hope this helps.
Cheers.

Hello Valerie,
Thanks for responding. I'll coordinate this with our Admin. I don't have the privilege yet. I'll get back to you once okay.
Regards,
Norman
