I've spun up an evaluation version of Jira. It is currently in a Premium trial. I've set up my Kanban board with multiple stories and tasks (I'm still experimenting with different item types). The stories and tasks have subtasks defined, but I can't get the subtasks to show up in my Kanban board.
In researching the issue it seems like one option is to enable swimlanes on my board. However when I click the ellipses and go to board settings, there is no menu item for swimlanes. How can I enable swimlanes, or alternatively, show my subtasks under the story/task items that are already in my board?
Hi @Matt Emmott,
Try setting GROUP BY: Subtask. This will make the board display swim lanes based on parent tasks/stories with subtasks.

Hey @Matt Emmott
Go to your board and Configure Board -> Swimlanes and set the method to "Stories"
This will show you the Task/Story as the first line and beneath it all sub-tasks.
Hope that helps.

Thanks but as mentioned in my original post, there is no "swimlanes" setting in the Board Settings page... Or I'm missing it. See screenshot:

Hey @Matt Emmott
From your image - you are using a Team-Managed project which doesnt support swimlanes!
If you want swimlanes - you need to switch to Company-Managed projects.
