Hi all,

I have installed Xporter for JIRA as well as Xray.

However, I am stuck in using Xporter to export test steps and status of each test case. There is no Xporter buttons to support it. See the attachment.

So, please guide me the detailed instruction for this issue.

You can export executions (with the columns you select), the test runs included in those (with the columns you select) and even the test steps and their results to a comprehensive spreadsheet using the Xray integration of the Better Excel Exporter app:

jira-xray-tests-with-test-runs

Or, if your preferred file format is PDF, you can use the Xray integration of the Better PDF Exporter app:

jira-xray-manual-test-with-test-runs

(Disclaimer: both of the above apps are paid, supported apps developed by our team.)

For anyone interested, here is a new article about creating test management Excel reports from Jira (featuring Xray and Zephyr Squad): How to export test cases with steps from Jira to Excel

Does not work.  There is no such column "manual steps" or any column "steps" of any kind

Hi, I need to export all test cases in Xray, make some changes, update priority and then import them for a new project. Is there an easy way to do this? I'm on JIRA Xray cloud.

Did anyone's solution above work?

Thanks

Hi @Kirsten Dalton

This article from Xray Knowledge Base should be helpful.

If you need further help, please contact the Xray Support (http://xraysupport.xpand-it.com) so that we can request additional information and investigate further.

X-ray cloud does not support exports :(

There is not even an API way to do this. Seems like an oversight.

@Andrei Loutchouk : Xporter supports export, doesn't it? Here you can see the button "Export" in my attached picture but it disappears when I see the detailed test steps and results.

I recommend examining TFM: https://confluence.xpand-it.com/display/public/XPORTER/Server+vs+Cloud+Version

and contacting their team: https://jira.xpand-it.com/

I've been struggling with the same issue, and for now have a manual workaround. Additionally, there is a plugin XPORTERCLOUD that will export issue filters, but it is also limited in the Cloud version of Jira.

@Andrei Loutchouk  what is your manual workaround?

Andrei Loutchouk October 4, 2019

Using their API to export, then reformatting in a typesetter. I found several examples, and the documentation is pretty good.

Thank you.

We have done that as well i.e. use the rest API to export from XRAY tests into Confluence.
But using Xported would avoid internal development costs.
