How to get Story points onto a Kanban board card without using the 3 available slots...?

Help me please..!!

We have one project configured (not by me) that shows the story point in the bottom sub section of a Kanban board card... (story points, time in column, fix priority)

These are NOT the standard 3 slots easily available from the  ... -> Config board-> Card layout menu, but configured somewhere else I just can't identify...

I would like to add story point to another project, but i just can't find where or how to do it.... all help so far points to the Config board-> Card layout route which doesn't help me configure the bottom sub section of the card...

Any Jira Jedi out there that can point me to the correct thing to edit...?

Welcome to the Community!

As per my understanding you would like to add Story Points field on to card view of the board. To achive this please go board configurations --> Card Layout --> click on Add field --> select story points.

Please let me know if my understanding of your question is incorrect and elaborate more with screenshots.

Hi Ram, thanks for the input but i can do that no problem, it is adding SP to the bottom section that is difficult

The With SP.png screenshot show the SP being shown in the bottom subsection of the kanban card...

I'm trying to get it to do the same in another project i admin... (Without SP.png) but can't seem to find the right config files...

Can you check if the field is NOT filtered out - open the board and on the right side:

I don't have a Story Points filed to toggle, but also my menu says View settings not Fields..

do i need to switch something elsewhere..?

BTW - Impact to customer, Sysname and Customer name are the items shown in the middle of the card.... but i am trying to configure the bottom section

It should be the "Card Layout", which controls the bottom section. Let me test something.

You might be looking for the "Estimation" section, but I can see this section only in a scrum board. Kanban boards do not have it.

Yeah i think you are correct - the project was setup as a Kanban project rather than a Scrum board with a kanban active sprint board. hence why i can't get the story points on the card in the bottom section...
