We have multiple clients we are working with on different projects and I don't want to expose other clients identities to each other. Right now with the Global Browse Users and Groups permission assigned to the client user they can type @ and see all users in the whole Jira Account including from other projects.

How do I make it so a certain user can only see or @mention users with a Role on their project?

Hi Benjamin,

Unfortunately, you can't currently do that yet. It's a feature request on Atlassian public JIRA. You can vote for it here.
