How to hide / disable the original estimate field in the screens?

We would like to hide / disable the original estimate field in the screens. Is it possible ?

The remaining field has to be there and editable though.

No you cannot, except to put javascript code in annoncement banner to hide specific field.

If you want to use it at all, like on the create screen I don't think you can. You can't hide it in the field configuration. You can take it off the edit screen, but it will still be on the details.
