How to keep your test/production configuration and data in sync without project configurator

Is there a way to keep your production and test instance configuration and data in sync without using the Project Configurator plugin.

hi @nkmori_rtx_com are you open to using another plugin/app? I would recommend checking out Configuration Manager for Jira. (Full disclosure, I work for Appfire, the app vendor behind both Project Configurator and Configuration Manager). 

To my knowledge, there is not much capability in Jira without using an app (outside of the backup/restore feature). Using an app will get you the automation and detailed insights you may need to keep test/prod in sync.
