How to know if a reporter will get a notification

Hjalti Glúmsson August 29, 2019

We are using Jira Service Desk and Jira Software. We can set users with customer role only as reporter and also mention them on Jira Software issues, but they will not receive notifications since they only have the customer role.

The problem we have is that those that comment on issues don't know which users will be notified and which won't. Is there an easy way for the commentator to know if the reporter will get notified, as well as the mentioned users?

Please use jira notification helper , it will allow you to test the notificaiton for a specific user.

Just double press G and it will show search window, type there notificaiton  helper and you will see it.

Have you tried this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216277/m-maillogger-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=reviews

It is free but i dont know if they have fixed the Jira Service Desk part yet.

Thanks for your reply, but too bad this plugin is not available for Jira Cloud.

Have you tried actually answering a question and not shilling plugins?
