How to link an inactive workflow to a project?

Frederik Vanhaelst October 9, 2024

Hi,

I've created a workflow with workflow scheme:

Via some youtube movies I've learned it should be possible to link this workflow scheme to my project via a button 'Workflows':

However, I don't see this button on my project settings:

Thanks for helping!

Kr,
Frederik

Hello @Frederik Vanhaelst

Based on the image provided, your project appears to be Team Managed. You should see a statement to that effect at the bottom of the navigation panel on the left.

Workflows and Workflow Schemes referenced in the video can be used only with Company Managed projects.

All of the scheme information you can configure via Jira Administration / Issues can be used only in Company Managed projects.

Managing workflows in a Team Managed project is different. You can find information about that here:

Hi, @Frederik Vanhaelst

What project type are you using? Looking at your screen it looks like it's team-managed project, and workflows are internal in such projects. You can manage them in "Issue Types".

Select required "Issue Type" there and press "Edit Workflow" button in upper-right corner.

Workflow scheme, that you made, can be used in company-managed project type
