How to link the test cases to test plan in bulk?

Dear Reader,

I am using Xray app for  test management.

While uploading I haven't associated test plan to test cases. But now I want to associate it through "Bulk Option" while I tried to do so,I couldn't find the field "Test Plan".

Please help me here in associating  my test cases to test plan in bulk.

Hi Siddharth,

I have tried this before, and as you have experienced, Test Plan is not something you can bulk update as though it was a field on an Xray Test. That is because the relationship between an Xray Test and a Test Plan is not truly a field.

The way to do this would be to instead approach it from the Test Plan instead of the Tests. So create your Test Plan, and then within the Test Plan you have the option to Add Tests. You can either add Tests from a Test Set, or you can just add Tests. In the dialog that appears, there is a Search tab, and also a JQL tab. If you are able to search or write a JQL query to identify the Tests you want, then you can add them all to the Test Plan in one action this way. I personally prefer the JQL, write a query to identify all your tests and then you can add them all at once.
