How to lock the scrum board

It's been observed that team is brining in the stories to sprint after the sprint has started, so i am looking for an option where i can lock the scrum board after I (scrum master) start the sprint and only the scrum master or PO can bring the ticket to the sprint not the team.

Hi Parveen,

You could achieve this by managing your teams permissions. More specifically by assigning the manage sprints and schedule issues permissions only to the scrum master and PO - and not the rest of the team.

Hi @Parveen Taj 

Rather than using Jira to adjust a team/process symptom, I suggest have a conversation with the team about why this is happening.  There may be legitimate concerns/needs for this ability, and the team can discuss and address them.

Otherwise using Jira features to block this could lead to unintended and hidden consequences.  For example, people might do the work anyway even though it is not visible or tracked on the board.  Perhaps not even tracked in the project backlog.
