How to make Epic Link unlabelled-ABC-123 more meaningful?

After creating an issue from an Epic detail,

the issue was auto assigned an Epic Link in form of unlabelled-ABC-123.

Question:
How to make it use the Summary or at least ABC-123 without the useless "unlabelled"?

The Epic name is ME-8. "unlabelled" was added by JIRA which rendered the label too long and useless in the Kanban board

Update the field "Epic Name" with the name of the epic in the Epic.

"Unlabeled" will change to this Epic name.

Um, you have an Epic with that name, and you;ve linked the story to it.  The "useless" "unlabelled" link is coming from the epic you've called "unlabelled-me-8"

Hi Nic, thanks for your note! I've updated the description. In short, the Epic is called "ME-8" instead of "unlabelled-me-8". "unlabelled" is added by JIRA
