We are using a next-gen Kanban board, and issues were piling up in the Done column and making the board huge. So based on answers in this forum, I added the "Releases" feature and assigned all of our done items to a Fix Version, and then released that version. However, the tickets are still appearing in the board.
Some people in other posts are saying to edit the board's sub-folder or query, but I do not see any way to do that. I do not see any "Board settings" or "Configure Filter" on this board. Any ideas?
I checked and my Done tickets are only assigned to one Fix Version each and that Fix Version has been released.
There must be a way to make the clutter go away.
Thanks so much!
Hi Terri,
There's no way to do a release right now.
If you want a release option in next-gen, vote for this idea:

Issues in the Done column will be automatically removed from your board after 14 days.

Thanks @John Funk for the info that they'll disappear after 14 days.
I'm not sure what you mean by "There's no way to do a release right now." I enabled Releases in my project, and then created a couple versions, and assigned my done stuff to a version, and then I was able to "Release" the version. It's just that those tickets are not disappearing from my board.

Hi Terri - Yes, that's what I meant - normally a release in a Classic project removes the tickets from the board. But not in Next-gen.

If that's all we can help you with right now, can you click on the Accept answer button above to close this one out? Thanks!

Well, I had a look and I didn't find any options for next-gen projects to edit the board query etc.
A simple way is to move the task into the backlog.
If a task is done it won't be showing on the backlog and you can always retrieve it in the release tab.

Thank you, hmm, that would be a workaround but it seems pretty strange because my items are done and shipped, and they aren't really my backlog at all.
