We are currently running 4.3.3, and I need to be able to edit the "Contact Administrators" information – I have been able to edit the main login page to generate an email to our JIRA-admin distribution list, but in the case where a user sends a JIRA link to a non-user, when they click the link, they get the expected "Guest" warning, directing them to contact the admins for a login – I have been assigned the task of editing that note to generate a similar email to the JIRA-admin distribution list. I found this link: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA043/How+to+Edit+the+%27Contact+Administrator%27+Page+in+JIRA+4.1.1+to+4.3.x" - but was not able to find the file listed (<jira-install>\atlassian-jira\views\administrators.jsp)
Can you point me in the right direction? I contacted Atlassian support - ticket # JSP-122568, but was refered to this forum as it was designated a "customization issue", not covered under standard support
thanks in advance
No further suggestions were provided - vendor intiated review of "missing vm file, but no word was ever received - closing this request as we will be upgrading to v5 shortly - thanks for all the suggestions/advice-
I have tried three times now to close this-- all have been unsuccessful - trying once more

Apparently the only option is to upgrade the application as no one else has provided any suggestions or even an explantion of why the process posted in the link http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA043/How+to+Edit+the+%27Contact+Administrator%27+Page+in+JIRA+4.1.1+to+4.3.x"
failed as the files to be edited do not exist

Hi Rick,
I've not modified the Contact Administrators screen so don't have a solution for you, but if I were you I would go back to support and ask them if the documentation is incorrect and to provide you with the correct steps. Seems a bit shoddy to bounce the request as "customization issue" to me as it's a documented customization where the instructions are incorrect/incomplete.
You could also try the "poke Atlassian" button on your question to see if you can get anyone from Atlassian to comment on this thread.

Thanks, Andrew - yes - I initially did pose this same question to Atlassian Support, and got a fairly quick response referring me here "since this was a customizations issue, and they don't do customization". Rather odd since I have used them many times over the past 7 years for a number of what I considered to be configuration issues, not customizations, and they have always provided excellent support. I'm guessing that maybe they did not quite understand what I needed, just skimmed over my original note and determined it was strictly customization-related. I will check back with them to confirm the link as you suggested, but I need to upgrade anyway, was just hoping to delay that a bit longer... If I hear anything new - I will definitely post here as there seems to be considerable interest in this capability. thank you for your input!

I'm not sure I undestrand very well. But you can change that message with the administration permission inside Jira. Go to the tab 'System' and then to the item 'General Configuration'. In the Bottom, the last option is to change the message. You can use HTML code to customize it. For example:
{panel:title=Contact Form| borderStyle=solid| borderColor=#ccc| titleBGColor=#f0f0f0| bgColor=#ffffff}
(i) In case of doubts, send us an email to our Administration mail, so we can help you.
{panel}
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Ramiro - but I believe the option you referenced is only available under the newer versions of JIRA - in 4.3.3 they disabled that option from the menu as a potential security risk -- and reinstated it after 4.4, if I read correctly -- but in my current version - 4.3.3 - I have not been able to find it under any admin menu.. Now that the upgrade issue with multi-select fields appaears to be resolved - I will be trying to deply the upgrade to v5, and hopefully that wil resolve this issue along with others - but I was hoping there was an easy way to edit the web-page/message to include a short mailto link.. thanks for hte help, though

Hope you find the solution when you do the upgrade! Meanwhile, could you please write an answer and mark it as solution or mark my answer as solution? This would be very helpful for other users!
