Hello! I am trying to figure out how to move an issue with multiple associated sprints to the backlog. Typically, when there is just one sprint, you can click on the sprint and remove it. However, when there are multiple sprints and I try to click and remove, it takes me to the board and will not let me delete. I also tried dragging the issue from the board to the backlog and that did not work either. I am using a Jira Classic project.
Thanks!
The solution does work. However, the changes reflect after some minutes. So, do refresh your browser. Thanks!
Hello @Ellison Moore & @chantelle_lea ,
You can remove the old completed sprints from the Sprint field by assigning the issues to the same sprint using the bulk operation. Go to Advance issue search > Search for the issue > Go to the top right of the screen and click on ... > Bulk change all issue(s) > Select the issue > Edit Issues > Select Change Sprint and enter the Sprint ID > Confirm > Acknowledge.
Note: In order to get the Sprint ID, go to advance issue search and type sprint in (<sprint_name>), the sprint name will be listed below the search bar with a number in the bracket. This number in the bracket is the Sprint ID for that sprint.
Once you have a single Sprint in the field, you can change it to something else.

Hello, I'm trying to follow the steps, but I cannot see "Bulk change all issue(s)" under the pulldown menu here. Does it need to be handled by a Jira admin in my company?

Follow these steps:
1. Backlog> Press Command button (if you are using macbook) to select multiple issues
2. Right click and this drop down menu has the "Bulk Change" option.
3. Follow the steps shared by Utkarsh Singh above.
