How to planning sub task for the different sprint ?

Hi, Everyone

I have a problem with our jira. We create task and sub-task on the same task. After we want to planning sub task in the different sprint for agile project management. But we take the error message bellow. Can you help for this issue ?

Select a subtask to view and edit its details

Sub-tasks are part of their parent issue, they are not sprint items.  Because they are a part of their parent, they are only seen as part of a sprint because their parent is.

You'll need to promote them to stories (if they are not part of their parent) if you want them to go into different sprints.

As far as I understand, sub-tasks are inherently linked to their parent stories and cannot be assigned to a different sprint. That's why you encounter the notification: 'Child tasks cannot be moved from their parents in scope'.

You may consider either improving your estimates and sprint selection or breaking up your stories into smaller, more manageable parts.

Another approach is to use Epics and Stories instead of tasks and sub-tasks, or consider Atlassian plugin: Agile User Story Map, Roadmaps & Persona for Jira
