How to populate default text in Description field for selective project.?

We have a request to populate a template form in Description for one project. Since Description is a System Field - I would want to know how advisable it is to change any setting related to it , like adding a context and adding a default value just for one project. At same time is it achievable through custom fields ?

You can try setting up a different field configuration scheme with different field configurations.  Under the field configurations you can set a default value for description and only have this setup for 1 project.

You can also use behavior's from script runner to add default values to fields for certain projects.

Using the system field is not feasible, but as a workaround, you can create a custom field (Paragraph type) and edit the default value (Template), and then using Atlassian Automation you can copy the content of the custom field to the system Description field.
