Dear forum users,
i am using Atlassian Jira Software Server at the moment (soon i've to swith to Data Center of course) and i have a problem with users that are assigned only to a subset of projects but still can see users that are assigned to projects the actual user is not assigned to. This is problematic because this can give hints to other existing projects for example. So is there some way in Jira Server and Data Center products to limit the users shown in user type fields and in the various user searches only to users that are assigned to the same projects as oneself ?
Thank you very much for your answers in anticipation,
Christian
Hi! A Community leader answered a similar question a couple of months ago. They suggested checking the permission scheme for your project, via project settings/permissions. Make sure that browse project / assignable user / etc is not set to any logged in user. If you want to restrict access to a project, you need to set up a permission scheme where you configure permissions using roles. They also provide an article with more info here.
