How to print "in flight" cards AND backlog cards on same sheet of paper

How can I save paper by mixing cards for issues that are still on the backlog (but can't be printed from the board) and cards for issues that are "in flight" (already started work and not in first "on board" state) in the same print run?

I can print the first set from the backlog view, no problem; I can print the second set from the Kanban board view, no problem.

I don't seem to be able to find a view that allows me to see and print cards from both sets in one go - there's no option to print from an "All Issues" list or a set of search results, for example.

How to manage this?

Hi @Rob Gilliam

Adrian from Spartez here.
To clarify, to save paper you wish to print out pages which are full of cards, rather than those which are only partially filled?

If so, it sounds like our app - Agile Cards for Jira could meet your requirements.
With it you can print from board view, backlog view or issue navigator view ( as would be the means in your case ).

For selecting 'in flight' cards and those from the backlog, you can use an advanced search query akin to -

Sprint = 325 OR Sprint = 327 OR "Backlog Order" is _________

Selection of a group of issues from the backlog could be by (future)sprint, label or any other dimension that meets your requirement.

You might also find the design flexibility and templates for cards of value too  👍
