You should provide more details for a more specific answer, but maybe this may already get you in the right direction:

as the valueThis is typically something I would expect to happen when an issue is resolved. If so, be aware that Jira is already recording that timestamp automatically in the resolved date field.

Try creating this rule , Here i have set the date as the time the status was changed for the current issue, However you can edit the date as per your requirement.
Here i have given the Action as Edit field and the value as {{now}}
