How to recover the test steps

Hi,

I facing a problem that after I changed the ticket type from Bugs back to Test I found I lost all my test steps for the ticket. Is there a way for me to recover all those steps?

Changing an issue type is a destructive change because different issue types have different fields. So when you changed it from Test --> Bug there would have been a screen to handle what you want to do with the information in the fields that are different between the two issue types.

In the example below, I am changing an issue's type from bug --> story but the bug issue type has a field that the story issue type doesn't have. You can see that after changing the issue type, this field is empty.Unless you saved the information in this field before changing the issue type, I do not know if it is possible to get this back.
