Atlassian Team members are employees working across the company in a wide variety of roles.
Changing an issue type is a destructive change because different issue types have different fields. So when you changed it from Test --> Bug there would have been a screen to handle what you want to do with the information in the fields that are different between the two issue types.
In the example below, I am changing an issue's type from bug --> story but the bug issue type has a field that the story issue type doesn't have. You can see that after changing the issue type, this field is empty.
